About the Role
As a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you’ll work independently to provide individualized assessments, direct therapy, and consultation-based services that support children’s speech, language, social communication, and overall developmental goals.
You’ll collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and our interdisciplinary team to create personalized treatment plans that reflect each child’s strengths, needs, and communication style. This role is ideal for an SLP who values relationship-based care, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and meaningful collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations
- Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
- Provide direct 1:1, paired, and group speech-language therapy sessions
- Support children with speech, language, AAC, social communication, and developmental needs
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community providers
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborative care planning
- Assign clients to Speech Language Assistants and provide appropriate supervision
- Train, mentor, and supervise Speech Language Assistants and practicum students
- Engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional development
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative clinic environment
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved academic program
- Full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a pediatric setting
- Registration with the RASP (Registry of Autism Service Providers)
- Continued education in AAC, Autism, or other developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
Working Environment
This is a hands-on pediatric therapy role working with children aged 1–19 years with varying developmental, communication, and sensory needs. The role involves:
- Delivering multiple therapy sessions daily in-clinic, in the community, or virtually
- Working in physically active therapy environments
- Supporting children with diverse communication and developmental profiles
- Maintaining strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and adaptability throughout the day
