At Little Buddies, we provide play-based, neuro-affirming occupational therapy for children and youth ages 1–19. Our therapists combine DIR/Floortime®, Sensory Integration, and the Canadian Model of Occupational Therapy to create individualized therapy plans that help children build independence, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.

About the Role

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you’ll assess and support children with developmental differences through engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions. If you’re an Occupational Therapist who enjoys creative, child-led therapy and collaborative care, this could be a great fit.

You’ll work closely with families and our interdisciplinary team to develop personalized intervention plans that support each child’s developmental journey. As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you’ll assess and support children with developmental differences through engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations
  • Develop goal-oriented treatment plans based on each child’s strengths and needs
  • Deliver hands-on therapy using play-based and sensory integration approaches
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
  • Ensure compliance with College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
  • Experience with pediatric occupational therapy assessments and interventions
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams

Working Environment

This is a hands-on pediatric therapy role working with children aged 1–19 years with developmental and sensory differences. The role involves:

  • Delivering multiple 45-minute therapy sessions daily
  • Standing, bending, and lifting 20–30 lbs when assisting children
  • Maintaining strong clinical judgment and adaptability when supporting children with complex needs
